In which the pond can't see a Devine future for the Terrorists ...

The pond was delighted to be given the link to the Weekly Beast, as a reminder of why Amanda Meade must be read as an astute observer of the reptiles - how she loves to watch them at work and play - with her latest outing delightfully headed No escape; Miranda Devine's radio show is compulsory listening

Of course there is an escape … don't subscribe.

In a fit of pique the reptiles have put the Devine behind their harder paywall, while at the same time doubling down with what can only be called an excess of the Devine …

And what's the top Devine story? Michaelia Cash has nothing to apologise for?

But she did apologise, so what's the Devine's point?

It's a measure of how desperate the reptiles have become as their business model goes down the tube … and putting all their eggs in one Devine basket is the most desperate ploy of all, even if Akker Dakker is also on hand to berate the Bishop for theological errors and Malware for his grave lack of clerical judgement …

It's a never no mind for the pond. The Terror wants to keep the Devine locked away? Good luck with that and the 11 to 15 people who want to listen to her … ah yes, you see how they let "Miranda Live" out to roam the earth without that demand for money?

But the pond would rather listen to nails screeching on blackboard. It would be remiss to say that the Devine has all the personality of a fishmonger's wife - why defame fishmongers' wives - and it would be equally errant to go the sexist route and talk of screeching harridans, because the pond is rather fond of harridans as a role model …it's just that the Devine is as fake as the Bolter or all the other reality TV posers, who would turn into Alex Jones if they thought it was a way to score ratings ...

Besides, there are so many other joys at the lizard Oz …

Why, there's our Gracie blaming welfare …

… indeed, indeed, much better than asking the hard cliché …

And then there was Dame Groan, all in a lather and a fury …

Memo to reptiles, if all you can do is keep blathering on about Emma Alberici, is it time to go?

And then there was a report, specially imported, to remind reptile readers that blaming the victim never goes out of fashion …

And then lizard Pamela Williams spent an inordinate amount of time explaining why the Liberals were fukt …

Oh no, not the onion muncher ...

And look at this triptych of terror that would be more than enough for the pond on a bad day ...

And yet the Terrorists have hoist their petard on Devine redemption?

How foolish, because we haven't even got to the latest days of our lives …

What a poignant thing … the pond swears by it, there's nothing like loving marriage so much as trying it a number of times …

As for Malware, it seems it never ends …

… which finally brings the pond to the story of the day … and two of three in the google splash being pretenders, fake wearers of the crown …

Yes, it was a Fairfax story, though why Barners keeps going with this stuff is a complete mystery to the pond, but note how the Terrorists jumped in …

… and the lizards of Oz followed …

The lizards were, by the google clock, slower, but even more shameless, stealing from the Fairfaxians the notion of a 'grey area' …

Mark Kenny's story is behind the very soft Fairfax paywall, and so the pond has no trouble providing a link here

And there's the trouble for the lovers of the Devine and the lizards of Oz.

You see, not only do they shamelessly steal an EXCLUSIVE from Fairfax, they then seek to charge for their theft and piracy …

And for what? Just another episode in the new political staple …

Ah well, what did the lizard Oz make of it?

A snap of the happy couple and no-one at the lizard Oz ready to put up their hand and claim paternity for the pirated, thieved story?

And nothing in the story except what Fairfax discovered? A shameless steal, as naked and as obvious as the pond's?

The matter was private, and yet he dropped another bundle in Fairfax, and then the Terrorists and the lizards of Oz stole the bundle of joy and made it their own, and comments are closed?

And heading back to where the pond started, they think the Devine is the future? Well the 11 to 15 can pay to listen or to read, but where the pond lives, the TV soaps come for free ...

And now, as it's not every day the pond does a Seinfeld, blogging about the Devine, which is to say nothing, here, have a few cartoons as an after-Devine mint, which in their own peculiar way have a certain Devine reptile resonance …

Well yeah, but she only apologised in a very reptilian way, DP. The way that The Devine would apologise if she'd ever done anything that she should have apologised for.

  4. "A grey area"? Does that mean she is just a slag?

    1. Maybe she forgot that wise old advice: "If it isn't on, then it's not on."
