In which the bromancer doubles down on the full Donald flip ...

With the pond still hung over from Barners' epic bush bash, what better hair of the dog than the bromancer gone full Trump?

What better excuse to run a few cartoons celebrating the Donald and his foreign policy initiatives?

Yes, everywhere you might care to look, it's President Trump, and how the bromancer dotes on his new beloved ...

The pond knows his devoted, immensely loyal fans will love that Lobbecke, but the trouble for the pond, wanting to find matching cartoons, is that American cartoonists don't have much to say about the Donald's foreign policy, as astute as it is ...

Instead the cartoonists have gone the full old GOP and begun to worry about deficits and all that jazz ...

But enough of US domestic worries, it's back to the bromancer explaining how, thanks to the Donald, everything is looking as bright as a button in the Pacific...

Everything is under control, everything is in hand.

Students will be delighted by some of the bromancer's flourishes. Who but the bromancer could explain Obama's pandering to the Chinese as being a result of a vain hope to help him solve the non-existent problem of climate change?

How the bromancer knows intimately what the Donald thinks, what the Donald understands of the world ... those wretched Chinese with their wretched climate change hoax, and that dope Obama falling for it ...

....though the pond will confess to a faint dose of nausea, a quivering of the belly, at the thought of being called "dear reader" ...

Dear reader, though one step below dearest reader, is so close to dear leader or dear dinkum Aussie Norman bleeder ...or to ancient writing styles ...

... and because the pond has other duties, the rest of that can be found by dearest readers as a pdf here ...

You see, the pond has a cartoon that helps explain why the bromancer, once he fell for the Donald, fell so hard ...

And so to the last gobbet of undiluted bromancer Donald worship ...

The whole Australian nation will fixate on his every word?

What, the same way that the bromancer currently fixates on the Donald and every little thing he does?

Such a doter ...such a dullard ... such a doting dillard flogging his wares to his dear readers ...

Strangely, there are a few other things at work outside the bromancer world of dreams, as noted by this Pope cartoon, with more papal flights of fancy here ...

  1. That’s the trouble with China: always trying to influence what’s going on in Asia. Much better to mind its own business and let the Americans run the joint from Japan. What have they got against Japan, anyway? It’s not as if they were invaded or occupied or humiliated or brutalised, is it? If any of that sort of nonsense had happened, Asia expert Sheridan would acknowledge it in that even-handed, mature way he has.

  2. It's kinda weird, isn't it: the Bromancer is really, truly ro-manced: hit by a sudden, overwhelming passion, or maybe intoxication, that I thought was the preserve of naive pubescent kids.

And he hasn't said a single word about his old flame in a while - sorry Tones, but as is apparently the in thing now, you've been dumped, replaced by a brighter flame of deep affection for Donald.

  3. Who needs hallucinogens when you've got Lobbecke? That illustration thingy of his has freaked me out!

  4. This is seriously nauseating stuff. "Owens was a star of the professional diplomatic service ..." "Trump is determined to send a big personality.." Sheridan is even adopting Trump's writing style. Or maybe a Hollywood gossip columnist.I would almost rather read the interminable sludge put out by Paul Kelly. No, I wouldn't.

    1. Yeah, I think it's clear that the Bromancer has a big new love in his life - he's hardly even mentioned his old flame in quite a while now.

Ah, the joys of pubescent crushes as indulged in by our Greg. I'm almost envious that he can keep them going at his age.
