In which savvy Savva shamelessness is its own reward ...

The pond tried to resist Get Shorty puns, but found it hard to walk by Pope's cartoon, with more papal insights here ...

Over at Crikey, the Major Mitchell himself was being celebrated in all his feathered finery ...

But the pond was more interested in the answer to the question, what to do when the mendacious Malware is revealed as the man behind the worst roll-out in modern Australian history?

Why, do a Donald, and bung on a do ... and make sure you can pin your shameless lies on a staffer ... because shamelessness is its own reward ...

Naturally the reptiles fell into line, conducting the campaign as if blessed by the Major Mitchell's holy crusader spirit ...

Now right from the get go, it will be seen that it's all the unions' fault ... oh and that hapless staffer, off on his own being a cowboy ...

Even the Bolter has his doubts about the latest crusade by the fearless crusaders, or so the Terror splash implies ...

Well yes, but naturally this is the day that the pond turns to the savvy Savva. Would she be scribbling her shock, horror and indignation at the state of broadband in the country?

Only kidding ...

Now the pond can save a lot of time for any stray passerby anxious to get on with their day.

Put in a nutshell, it's all the unions' fault ...

Has it got anything to do with state of markets, cheap labour elsewhere, the behaviour of foreign owned corporates, or such like consideration?

Oh stop it. The pond's already read the Savva, and has explained. Put in a savvy nutshell, it's all the unions' fault ...

Let there be no excuses or whining from anyone who claims they've wasted their time.

It's the savvy Savva's job to channel the thoughts of Mr Harbourside Mansions, and it's all the unions' fault ...

You see, even though the unions are impotent and growing more powerless by the day, it's all the unions' fault ...

It's got nothing to do with Unilever, though the pond will offer an apology, and admit that perhaps it misled, because it's also all the consumers' fault ...

It goes without saying that Paddle Pops and the car industry are as one, and government is helpless in the face of progress, especially as it's all the unions' fault ...

It's easy for the workers. They should accept cuts to their wages and conditions ... because naturally the savvy Savva is totally onside with the company deploring all those greedy workers ...

Oh indeed, indeed, no wonder the appalling, lying Cash is appalled ... it's all the unions' fault ...

As for the ongoing obsession with GetUp! and unions and the desire to destroy them utterly and with an iron will and an iron fist?

Why, that's all the fault of the unions' too ...

If they'd just pack their tents and disappear into the night, how much better things would be ... especially for the workers, gaily accepting that surviving as peasants is much better than not surviving at all. Trust the Cash, and she'll arrange for a bus to run over you ...

And so to a Rowe cartoon for the day, and the pond suspects that the unions might well have had something to do with that, even if it's only the cartoonists' union for jolly good japes ... with more jocular Rowe here ...

  1. Forgive me, I know I should remain focussed on the task at hand, but as the machinations that should see Cash take a spell in the outer paddock rolled out last evening, I did glimpse the stupidest tweet ever shared by Sharri. And yes, that takes some stupid, but she's done it.

Very much looking forward to our early TGIF with Sharri later today....puts the popcorn on.

  2. Amazing the reptile rag had three full pages devoted to this completely minor event in the scale of things. Most of the front page, two full pages inside and an editorial too.
