In which the pond gets back to core values with the fat owl of the Remove and petulant Peta ...

Raw vengeance? They didn't even disable the runways ... and the planes are already back?

Anti-Christian violence? Presumably as opposed to raw vengeance ... with your average moderate Islamic copping it from the fundies ... and the crusaders ...

It left the pond with nowhere to go but Akker Dakker, doing over Malware ... droning on in the usual way, but always willing to offer the odd comedy styling ...

What's the bet the fat owl of the Remove will drag Ming the Merciless out of the broom cupboard and continue the debate recently noted in the pond ...

It really is like reading the scriptures, isn't it, with schismatics and splitters everywhere ...

Whither the oscillating fan and his quote: "We took the name 'Liberal' because we were determined to be a progressive party, willing to make experiments, in no sense reactionary but believing in the individual, his right and his enterprise ..."

But then the oscillating fan is new testament, loving Jesus meek and mild and all that sort of stuff, while Akker Dakker is old testament, and really hasn't got much past talking serpents and eternal punishment for anyone to the left of Genghis Khan ,,,

However the next gobbet opens with a real doozy and a great gambit even for Akker Dakker ...

Any other day of the week, Akker Dakker would be writing about filthy perverted gays, and their hideous SSM marriage proposals ... but this day he's there to protect them from the vile, filthy Islamics ...

But what to make of that most adeptly curated photo of Malware? He seems to have a vague, disturbing pink tinge.

It's been a while since the pond studied semiotics, but what is the sign and meaning of that glum face wreathed in pink filter?

Never mind, it's on with mind-numbed Akker Dakker for another gobbet ...

Sssh, no mention of Manly - home turf of the onion muncher - where the swing against the Liberals was a very pleasant -24.7, as opposed to the swing against the lying John Howard toady Wilson, who only managed a -16.2 result (ABC the current results here if you don't mind turning anything into a verb. Oh action the results if you will).

And speaking of the onion muncher, how soon before he bobs up in the conversation?

But that was only a brief pandering to the greatest schismatic of them all, the great wrecker, the great underminer, the great sniper ... and his accomplice in the task of dragging down the Malware government ...

Of course the pond has many peeves with the Malware government itself, including but not limited to ...

But there's a singular pleasure to be found in reading the onion muncher's sidekick giving Malware a kicking, while herself front and centre in one of the shortest, most disastrous and pathetic reigns of any recent PM.

It's a marvellous sight to see the preening, the oblivious self-regard, the aggrandising self-congratulations, and the strutting swagger ...and the barely concealed bitterness ...

Of course the big question is whether the white-anting onion muncher and petulant Peta will ever shut up about Malware, as week in, week out, others trot out the lame cliché that disunity is death ...

They want disunity, they want death ... and all the pond can do is clap hands and dance with glee ...

All this from someone who couldn't keep the onion muncher's government together ...

Oh it's singularly rich ... and the pond regrets that all good things must come to an end with a final gobbet, though who can't resist a chuckle at the celebration of the mutton Dutton?

Ah well, there's always a downside, if the pond has to deal with Comrade Bill in the Lodge, but on the upside, how wonderful it would be if Peta and the onion muncher came back together to run the opposition ... what fun that would be, the successful team re-united, like comeback kings ...

Oh to dream the impossible dream, as the man who turned the pond off RN almost single-handedly dreamed not so long ago ...

It's easy enough to google the rest of the piece, wherein the schnitzer also mentions de Gaulle, tricky Dick, little Johnny , Ming the Merciless, and Malware himself, though strangely he doesn't mention Jesus Christ ...

Yes, a blatherer for RN has the cheek to talk of the metropolitan sophisticates, like the humbug academic ponce and profound bore that he is ...

Did he ever check the demographic for the station that employs him in the name of diversity, as if he was some exotic member of a minority group ...

Never mind, coming back from the dead is some sort of ultimate comeback, and with a bit of transubstantive help and Peta at the helm, the onion manager might roll aside the stone and rise again ... which is as close to a Sunday meditation the pond is going to get this day ...

  1. I love the "Tony Abbott was never popular" line that they now trot out as if Tony was some misunderstood hero that just tried to get the job done. Popular? Bahh, that's for elitists.

There is never "Tony Abbott was never popular... and therefore would have been creamed at the next election"
