In which the pond endures a double bunger dose of Malware bashing and the Terrorists think about taking up bike riding ...

This day the Terrorists have suffered a bitter blow, with Clover Moore showing the limits of relentless tabloid campaigning power ...

Even worse, it seems the fat owl of the remove is out of favour. Oh sure, he can still be found, but it's a bit like finding a story about Clover Moore... oh wait, there it is ...

And after all the exemplary, policy-driven reporting the Terrorists are famed for around the world ...

Never mind, Akker Dakker can still be found, with a bit of diligent peck-sniffing ...

But not so long ago, he would have been side by side with Peta on top of the world, or at least the digital front page on a Sunday, rather than some useless story about women feeling guilty about something ... when everybody, or at least angry Anglicans know, they're as guilty as Eve ...

Maybe it's because both Peta and Akker Dakker were on about the same thing, the sheer awfulness of Malware ...

Akker Dakker certainly doesn't offer the piquant sight of a player who was at the organisational heart of one of the worst Prime Ministerships of recent years lecturing and hectoring the new regime about their inadequacies ...

That's Peta's sublime contribution.

It really only left to ways to go ... talk of pot and kettle, with its unfortunate denigration of black, or teachers teaching because they can't do, which is very unfair to genuine teachers who do good teaching and learning ... whereas Peta seemed incapable of learning, much like her onion-munching master, who's still at it ...

Never mind, the result's a double bunger of good, old-fashioned doubling down on Malware hate ...

Yes, Jeff Kennett, himself an epic loser and more than occasional dropkick, is the go to expert this week, but the pond, looking at that photo of Akker Dakker couldn't help but be reminded of past images ...

It hinted why old school Akker Dakker might be reaching the end of his use by date up against the 'don't do as we did and totally fuck it up,' but 'do as I say now that I'm a media guru who doesn't seem to have learned anything' incarnation that haunts the Terror, Sky and Malware ...

She is of course banging on about exactly the same thing. How soon before Jeff Kennett is mentioned as a special authority?

First par!? Why that's way quicker than doddery old Akker Dakker who took until his sixth par ...

That photo reminded the pond that Peta was a newer edition, a new release, a new goer, a better bang up Malware for your buck release ...

Of course the Terrorists and Peta also used a clever ploy by making sure Malware was seen in his comical Pacific beach shirt, so that the full richness of that headline about voters turning shirty might be enjoyed ...

As for the rest it was Tweedle Akker Dakker ...

And Tweedle Peta ...

Now the pond doesn't mind any of this.

The more the far right mob jump on to Malware and grind and pound, the less the pond has to say.

Smash him to a pulp, they might cry in the bleachers, though the pond has to acknowledge the truth of what David Marr noted this morning on The Insiders, which is that with the onion muncher reduced to white-anting and back-stabbing and undermining and sneaky king hits, the tone of the rest of politics has taken a step into the quiet zone. And that's with an unruly pack of cross-benchers featuring bizarre Hansonites ... not even they can match up to the level of nattering negativity the onion-muncher produced in his short regime ...

Which perhaps explains why there's still a rump of natterers deeply addicted to the negativity and determined to do everything they can to spoil ... whiners and moaners and leaners hurt at being ignored, like Akker Dakker, a man who might well wonder if Adolf was as rabid as the world once painted him ...

Now why Akker Dakker should feel the need to head off to Germany when he could just have endorsed his true spiritual companions, the Hansonites, must remain a mystery.

And now, thanks unto Peta and the reptiles, yes, the pond would enjoy a final sighting of Malware laying down the law in his comical Pacific beach shirt ...

It all left the pond asking just one serious question.

Is it really time for the government to start delivering? What on earth would the pundits, the onion muncher and Cory do if that started to happen? Where would be the fun, where would be the happiness? How could we handle the absence of nattering negativity?

Why the pond itself would be bereft. Could we note that it seems likely the only time the pond will end up connected to super fast broadband is in its fine, well-equipped coffin ...?

What's that you say? What happened to all the mighty flood of nattering negativity about Clover?

Really, you do entirely miss the point. The Terror's fine business model means it can now keep on peddling the same sort of stuff it's been peddling furiously for years with astonishing success ...

Yes, we're so over the bikes, we're so over Clover.

What's that you say? It seems some people are over the reptiles? But it's such a good business model and there's absolutely no need for it to have even the remotest connection with the truth ...

There's a lot more here ... and well-played Terrorists ...

Luckily the pond will struggle to find anyone sillier than your current line-up ... or more adept at exploiting a stunning business model ...

And not the council mergers which saw the pond deprived of a vote yesterday?

The pond gives up and puts down its glasses with a sigh as the doggies disappear into the distance.

There's always somebody sillier to be found ...
