Has it only been a year? That was a year of dropkicks and losers ...

Has it only been a year?

It seems so long ago ...

But then came the good news ...

Oh sorry, there's been a malfunction at the pond, not entirely unexpected when acting as blog of loon record ...

That was back in the days when the reptiles were still holding out hope for their fearless captain. Oh how they clung to the man with the albatross around his neck, it was strange, even in a dream to see these dead reptiles rise, and 'gan to work the keyboards as reptiles were wont to do, they raised their fingers like lifeless tools ... oh dear, what a ghastly crew ...

Here's the more up to date news about the wall-puncher being back in the game ...

Note how the phrasing implies an onerous obligation to take on the hard yards. A defiant trooper saddling up for another run ...

It was such a sweet, short and parochial announcement ...

Yes, in his 22 years, his one truly memorable transport achievement was to set in motion the fucking up of Sydney's inner west (oh and to cost Victorians a motza for a discarded road), and now he's going to dedicate his life to serving the transport needs of the Warringah Peninsula, because, being a slow learner, he's just learned that things are a bit fucked transport wise up on the north shore ...

Naturally the reptiles had to tippy toe around the bleeding obvious - that here was a man, who had he but recognised it, would have made an ideal correspondent for the lizard Oz, but now will spend his time acting as a focus for dissent ...

The Member for Making Life Difficult for Malware and Easy for the Pond (with the occasional patch of tar on the roads of Warringah thanks to a finger dipped in tar) ...

So now there's the absurdity known as Erica Abetz pointing out the bleeding obvious by denying it ...

Actually Erica, it was never about the Australian people. It was, as it usually is, always about the politician, in this case a captain who kept on making captain's picks, to the consternation of some but to the routine delight of the pond, always in search of an easy column ...

And now the irrelevance will attempt to live on, and do his best to recover lost ground, but each time a significant anniversary comes around, the world will be reminded of the futility and inanity of Abbott's short reign.

Meanwhile, on another planet, only a short year after that foolish monarchist fop made an abject fool of himself ...

From Abbott's nightmare to a 'dump the Queen' push in a year ...

No wonder yesterday's man is now talking of the roads in Warringah ...

Now admittedly Abbott could still make a grand ongoing contribution to climate science.

His past contributions have been greeted with awe at the Graudian in Tony Abbott's climate claims debunked, but what else can be expected of a warmist rag?

Look at all that snow in New York, and then try telling Chairman Rupert that the planet is warming ...

Meanwhile, speaking of bullets dodged, there's another bad penny still doing the rounds ...

Would The Age be so shameless? And blinkered, short-term, must score the hits by trolling, stupid? Are the Oz reptiles just being cheeky?

Did the reptiles only run this one up the flag so that they could, inter alia, get in mentions of "bleeding hearts", "left-leaners", "political correctness pissing off decent broad-church reptiles", "unholy alliance", and "elitist left", while in the very same breath, dismissing it all as a stunt ...?

Miss Lonelyhearts had nothing on this pair when it comes to the use of crude cliches ... it makes the pond so much better about referring to the reptiles as stone-hearted leaners to the right of Genghis Khan ...

And who can we thank for this coarsened, crude, obnoxious style of public and political discourse? Well Latham's a mere taxi-driver arm-breaking novice up against the master of the wall-punching art, and so once again we must all thank the current member for Warringah ... who will undoubtedly be less devious and behind closed doors than was former Chairman Rudd in his "look at me, me, me" campaigning ...

After all, the man who shirt fronted Putin has many more shirt fronts still left in him ...

And so to a Wilcox cartoon, and more Wilcox here ...

    1. Worth reviewing. A former Australian of the Year, Dick Smith, sticking it to Rupe and the reptiles:

Dick Smith's Most Important Speech to a Standing Ovation from 1,000.

2:47 to 9:22... "The Murdoch Effect" popularity reptiles politicians ponzi

18:20 to 18:46 This got a laugh: "...Rupert, why not open up a small office here where desperate Aussie families can write to you and ask for financial assistance" hahaha, the thought of it is quite hilarious, imo.

  3. Interesting article about the history of Aboriginal protests about Australia Day. The SMH coverage of the Myall Creek massacre is pretty shocking.

  4. Sheridan "No politician in modern Australia, at least since Malcolm Fraser in 1975, has been subjected to such sustained, vitriolic and personalised abuse as Abbott." My oh my, I wonder why?

'Forces that drove Tony Abbott to stay in parliament' Greggies little love nostalgia piece in the Oz today (just Google it)

Love is never having to say you're sorry.

  5. "...such sustained, vitriolic and personalised abuse as Abbot"

Didn't we have a recent PM, just a month or two before Abbott, who copped a continuous tirade ? What was her name, again ? I seem, like them, to have forgotten.
